EISY Home from Universal Devices is a multi protocol smart hub for smart home enthusists who love to get under the hood and appreciate the power and flexibility that comes with it.
EISY can support ZWave and Zigbee devices by adding a ZMATTER-USB dongle. ZMATTER is planned to support Matter devices some time after March 2023. This is and will be beta for some time.
Insteon devices may be supported by adding a 2413U PLM (not included). 2413S serial PLMs require a serial to USB adapter as well.
EISY is Universal Devices 7th generation smart home automation controller and energy management system. It’s based on the original ISY technology as its predecessors while also restructured for ease of configuration and use through the UD Mobile App. eisy is packed with power and flexibility and it’s so cute that some are calling it ‘cutie’! OPERATING SYSTEM:
Refined version of FreeBSD. UD manages building and maintaining the kernel and core/required packages. The OS and packages were designed to be easily field upgradeable.
Device Support
- INSTEON Support – Requires a PLM (not included): 2413S, 2413U, or 24487U. If you are using 2413S (serial/RS232), then you will need a serial PLM adapter kit.
- Z-Wave Support – Requires ZMATTER USB (not included)
- Zigbee / Matter Support – Requires ZMATTER USB (Not included. Matter support will not be available till at least 03/2023 or later)
